All Saints, Harrow Weald

About our Parish

The parish is located in the north of the London Borough of Harrow. The northern edge of the parish marks the Middlesex/Hertfordshire county boundary. Harrow Weald developed as a suburb of London during the 1920's and 30's with the coming of the railways. The parish contains a mix of large detached inter war properties, smaller semi-detached houses and pre and post war former local authority housing.

The northern part of the parish includes an extensive area of greenbelt land which embraces Harrow Weald Common and Bentley Priory Nature Reserves.

Harrow Weald High Street contains a variety of local shops, plus Waitrose, Iceland and Homebase. Harrow Weald also has a community park, with tennis courts, swings and climbing frames and open greens to walk the dog. The bus garage means Harrow Weald is very well connected by public transport. Nearest underground stations are Harrow and Wealdstone and Stanmore. London Overground services can be joined at Hatch End. All Saints' churchyard is managed as a nature reserve. The Spring displays of snowdrops and primeroses are spectacular. The churchyard backs onto a woodland reserve managed by a local nature conservation trust. A delightful surprise for a suburban location.

About All Saints'

All Saints' is a lively and diverse fellowship of around 200 people of mixed age and ethnicity. We are an Anglican church embracing Eucharistic, open evangelical, emergent and gently charismatic expressions of worship.

Better Christians embraces our discipleship, worship, preaching, teaching, intercession, stewardship and pastoral care and openness to the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

Living as a servant community reflects our desire to be an open, welcoming, spiritually vibrant, energetic, caring, servant hearted, outward focused fellowship – seeking to make real our unity as Kingdom people: people sharing Eucharistic fellowship

For the good of the world – describes our intention to engage positively with the local community of which we are a part, challenging injustice, championing the cause of the poor and marginalised, seeking reconciliation and healing, caring for the environment and revealing Jesus’ sacrificial love for a world God created good.

Together we seek to be open to the prompting of the Holy Spirit to realise our identity as agents of the Kingdom...
